The IBS Patient Support Group was established by Jeffrey Roberts who was the founder of the first Irritable Bowel Syndrome patient community website in 1995. The IBS Patient Support Group community was launched in 2016 as a public education advocacy community for sufferers. We believe in evidenced-based medicine and non-anecdotal treatment options for patients. The IBS Patient Support Group is the creator of WorldIBSDay and co-creator of @TuesdayNightIBS on twitter.
IBS Patient Support Group is a privately held not-for-profit community self funded by Jeffrey Roberts and is supplemented by limited advertisement banners. Advertisement is distinguished by the word "Advertisement" as well as some advertisement is auto-placed by Google. Some funding to develop content is provided in the form of an unrestricted educational grant and content which was written under a grant, is labeled as such. The IBS Patient Support Group's search engine uses a Google product that displays "Ads by Google" where applicable in search results.
