Just wondering if anyone has had this as I've been unwell since before Christmas. Diarrhea every morning then still feel I need to go. Dr examined me this morning and said she felt as though my bowels were still full. It a pain literally .

I'm sorry that you are feeling unwell for such a long time. Are you normally constipated? Did your doctor order an x-ray to see if your bowels were full? Are you seeing any blood?

Overflow diarrhea can occur if there is a fecal impaction or partial impaction.

No no blood . No dr just listened to my symptoms and examined me. Yes I had constipation before the diarrhea started .

Did they offer any recommendation for treatment? Overflow diarrhea can be daily; however, this isn’t normal if it is going on for weeks.

Was this a family doctor versus a GI doctor?

Yes I get that once in a while . A few things bring relief like an antacid, drinking a beer, immodium, meditation. The gut and brain are a powerful combination
