6 year fight through ER’s, Urgent Care’s, and primary physicians to get diagnosed

I just got diagnosed with IBS after a 6 year fight through ER’s, Urgent Care’s, and primary physicians (more than I can count). If your patient is telling you they will do anything for you to help them please listen. It took me actually getting on my knees, crying, rocking in pain for a ER referral to a gastroenterologist for a colonoscopy and a endoscopy. If your patient is so scared going into surgery they are crying (knowing it’s a minimal procedure) and they ask a female nurse to stay with them the whole time, they probably wouldn’t put themselves through it for nothing. To me it’s always felt like bad gas (sometimes I felt so bloated I thought I would actually rupture something in me), the only indication it was something bigger was my constant throwing up, BM being green, and inability to hold stool (no not a shart, had a Dr ask me, bitch I know what a fucking shart is I’ve never wanted to lay my hands on a Dr more).
