I don’t post here often, but when I do, it’s when I’m having symptoms I’m suspecting from my IBS-C.

Mine likes to switch up between the C and then when I finally do go, it’s the opposite. I’m having that issue today and lately, it seems like I’ve had a flare since last summer.

My system hasn’t calmed down. I’m under a lot of stress, and I get more stress and anxiety when I have these issues because it’s like did I catch a bug or am I having a flare?

Like it says in the title, frustrating and I’m so exhausted from feeling unwell and not getting answers from docs besides “here try these 8 different meds,” when the side effects can mimic or be worse than what I experience.

Hi ReneeD! I have experienced exactly the same thing and wanted to reach out to you because I truly can relate to your frustration. I’ve never posted before. Realizing we are all different, I wanted to at least share with you what has helped me. I take an OTC supplement (just approx 90mg) of magnesium glycinate. I walk, do deep tummy breathing (the kind that is good for stress- breathe in through nose, long breath out through mouth-even on the toilet), plenty of easy stretches, take OTC Simethicone for gas and bloating, massage my colon in the direction poop moves out of the body, practice mindfulness and prayer. Stress is highly related to my flareups also, but TIME IS HELPING TO HEAL, along with these life changes. I’ve had issues for around 2 years. The prescription meds weren’t a good fit for me nor was anything OTC to help me have a BM. Either they did nothing or it was major overkill and they left me “seat side” for 2 to 3 days. These gentler approaches with FODZYME and a common sense diet work well for me. Good luck and may God bless you.
