Supporting a partner with IBS

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I have just found this group and hope there may be other people here in a similar situation to me, as I would just like to chat really.

My husband has IBS D and over the years it has gotten worse, he has become a bit of a recluse because of it and it effects our relationship. I think I am very sympathetic and I help him as much as I can (managing his food diary, cooking good foods for him, talking to him during flare ups) but it doesn't seem to be enough anymore. He wont seek medical help and it is veru frustrating and sad to see him like this.

Any tips, advice or just a listening ear from anyone who knows what he is going through and maybe what I am too.

Thanks

Jemma
