Has anyone tried the new DOSE supplement -? It is for liver health, but I am experiencing less bloating.

That's interesting and great for you. I'm not familiar with the DOSE supplement.

My last colonoscopy this summer came back normal, but I noticed my BMs getting thinner. I saw an infomercial for Emma the other day, and one of its key ingredients is Berberine. I remember seeing Berberine on the list of suggested supplements from my VibrantWellness test results and decided to give it a try (i.e., Berberine, not Emma). I take it after dinner on days when I've cheated on my diet, and it seems to help with gas and bloating. I also decided to give Triphala another try (since I already had some). I took one serving (3 capsules) before bed one night, and I had terrible cramps and had to use the bathroom in the middle of the night. Now, I take 1 capsule before bed on my cheat days (and sometimes 1 after lunch if I think I need to), and it's actually helping this go around. I still had some Arabinogalactan (a fiber found in some leaky gut supplements), too, which I've started adding half a serving of to my morning smoothies just to use it up. So far, my BMs are perfect, and I've been able to avoid my prescription Linzess and reduce my OTC laxative usage to once or twice a week.

I also heard of this 7 second poop method that seems to help as well, except that I found twisting my fists like I'm wringing out a washcloth works better for me than just rubbing them together. I know it sounds silly, but it's worth a try. Good luck!

Just a quick update since it has been a while since my last post. I had my annual checkup last month and my numbers continue to improve. My cholesterol is back below 200, my LDL was down 40 points, and I know my waist has shrunk because I've had to buy new clothes that fit. My Dr. said that I was his healthiest patient! I take my Linzess as needed, but fortunately I haven't needed it since March when I had a bout of spa rash which the Dr. treated with Cipro. I took a multi-strain probiotic for a couple weeks afterwards. I also took a leaky gut supplement for prevention as it had been 11 months since I last took one. I do believe my leaky gut and IBS-C have been cured thanks to a lectin-free diet and proper supplementation, knock on wood. Hopefully, this will be my last post!

BTW - have you noticed the new food pyramid? It's closer to a lectin-free diet than the old one was. Pass on the whole grains, though. I've learned to make pancakes with millet, waffles with sorghum, and brownies with almond flour but still haven't mastered lectin-free bread. I purchase grain-free cassava chips/pastas and almond flour crackers. I try to eat some form of wild caught seafood every other day and limit my red meat consumption. I also substitute unsweetened coconut milk/yogurt for dairy, make my own salad dressing with olive oil and red wine vinegar, and try to avoid sugar and artificial sweeteners (use Swerve, Monk fruit, Allulose, or Truvia instead). As Dr. Gundry would say, you are what you eat and you are what you eat eats!

Good luck with finding what works for you!
