May 24, 20251 yr comment_100833 I've been feeling lower than usual and decided to see once again if maybe there was some actual local support group where I live where I could talk to others and get ideas in my area, but there isn't anything remotely near for this issue and I stumbled upon this forum. It's frustrating to me to even read online support forums for IBS because, of course, there's never any actual answers, especially anything that would work for everyone else, and some people forget that what seems to work for them may not be logical or work well for others and isn't some universal solution to even reduce symptoms or issues. I have been dealing with this for about 21 years now. One day, everything was normal, the next it wasn't and nothing has been the same since. I have driven myself crazy going to many different doctors, but the very first one guessed IBS before a single test was done. I was sent to a gastro doc for a colonoscopy and, of course, they found nothing, but gave me 1 sheet of paper with what was apparently a very outdated and slightly incorrect and not totally complete version of the FODmap diet, which basically told me to stop eating and drinking every single thing that I ever eat or drink in one column, then "safe" foods only in the other, some of which turned out to not be so "safe" after all or missing info that should state that it's only "safe" in VERY small quantities within a single day and making it pretty much useless to even try to eat it at all then, which I wouldn't find out until many years later from reading books and personal experiences from experiments with diet and so on. I, too, learned that eggs, for one, seem to be a trigger food even though it's always listed as a "safe" food everywhere, and various other triggers with even a specific brand of food, even though the ingredients don't show anything obviously different from another brand that does't seem to cause as many problems In short, I can't make it go away at all and can only make it less extreme.... sometimes. Things can trigger it that make no sense to me, after all of these years. The worst part, honestly, has been the odor part. Even though I may have to go to the bathroom 5 times a day and all the trouble that causes if I eat the wrong thing, the most damage done to my life has been from the odor issues that I myself apparently get used to and unaware of most of the time. It's co workers and some other random people that will notice and make a huge deal out of it. I got fed up with it and decided to stop changing jobs over this and kept showing up to work for years anyways. I went to doctors in different cities trying to find the "real" cause for this, only to usually get blown off and given the "There's no cure for IBS, we can only treat the symptoms", which they are actually also unable to treat when it comes to these symptoms, as if I'd just showed up for the first time ever, and offers to redo tests that I've already had done multiple times. Some even getting annoyed with me. I've researched online, read books, tried shady gimmicky things that seem to actually do nothing like "internal body deodorants" or "activated charcoal" pills. All to try to keep normal employment. But even with my determination, even with people making fun of me at work, supervisors and team leads making as big of a deal out of it as anyone else, after all the doctors visits, after me tuning people out and showing up to work anyways, eventually, it'll get to the point where people just want me gone somehow and even start making up reasons to try to drive me off or yelling outright to other people that I need to get some different type of work or something and causing actual problems to even my employment. Nothing I have read, no medications that I have taken, no changes in my diet have gotten rid of it. I can only make it less extreme, but not enough to where people will leave me alone and let me work, whether shoulder to shoulder at one job or just mostly roaming around by myself all day at another. I can't even usually notice anything is wrong until someone else makes a big deal out of it, apparently because i'm like that so often that my senses are numb to it. A lot of what Grayg has said is exactly true, that I had to learn the hardest way myself over the years, with no useful pointers or guidance from doctors or anyone else, even down to eggs seeming to be some almost secret trigger for it even though it's almost always listed as a "safe" FODmap diet food, which I had to keep trying over and over for years because I didn't want to believe that was a problem food and yet I experienced the same issues every time, even with some carton of egg whites only type product. I have struggled for decades with this. I have been mostly completely by myself except for when employed, so there's no other people to talk to that will understand or back me up with this, and a lot, even doctors, will tend to want to believe that I'm being paranoid or even lying at times if they can't notice anything themselves during the few minutes or hour that I'm sitting there with them. In my particular case, I've tried probiotics which actually created inhuman amounts of gas that I didn't have previously even after I took it for a solid month, I've been prescribed antibiotics for a different issue for a month or longer and realized that I seem to have less issues but still have issues but for not as long, but also requested and done a breath test which found nothing, I've been prescribed an antibiotic that helps slow down the digestive tract which seems to have reduced the amount of times I needed to go to the restroom but NOT help at all with the cursed odor problem at all and may have in fact even made it worse in certain ways. Most doctors will keep prescribing medications for abdominal cramps, which I've never had, and have kept telling them that I've never had even though that's the main symptom of IBS, which lead me to going to so many doctors especially for the first 7 years of this to find the "real" problem, so that I could get on with my life, and leading to nothing. I am absolutely depressed because I can't even work a simple social job doing anything without risking people trying to get me fired even if I'm doing a great job and doing more work than anyone else to make myself more useful, even if I outlast other employees and so on, because of this issue alone.... which I partially understand since me having it doesn't mean that I would want to spend all day around someone that smelled bad either, ya know, even if I understood! I know it's miserable to other people. But I just wanted to live a normal slightly sociable life and I cannot even do that. I have resorted to trying to go to counselors for depression but most start out not believing or understanding this issue, sometimes getting an attitude first thing, believing that I'm trying to somehow get or live off of tax dollars and that I just need to get over it and not familiar with the issue or simply not caring, which leads to MORE stress and anger and depression simply by trying to get help or advice of my own free will. So, unfortunately, I too have no solutions or pointers. I've tried many, many things and can only reduce issues, sometimes, but then there will be unknown triggers even then that make no sense to me, and none of it seems to reduce the odor issue that people complain about, which some people NEVER notice while everyone else at work will, which either way leads to people wanting to believe that I'm crazy and either not washing properly or that I'm paranoid and imagining things if I mention it and they don't notice it. It has ruined my life overall. Things slowly get worse as time goes on, to where foods I could eat, even if I still had the odor issues and all, that didn't used to trigger the other symptoms now do. Nothing has gotten better. I've resorted to eating almost nothing but breaded meat, which isn't exactly healthy, because so many other things either trigger me needing to go to the restroom or cause more gas or something, but nothing totally gets rid of the odor issue. So I can at least vouch that, yes, this is a thing. Carbs and sugars of various types seem to make it worse, along with possibly caffeine at times. But different foods trigger different IBS symptoms, so one may create more gas but not the other things, while a bite of something else may trigger me needing to go to the restroom 5 times a day the next day but no extra gas or anything, and so on. There's a book called something like "The IBS Elimination and Diet Cookbook" that was VERY useful for at least the more correct and updated FODmap diet, way more so than anything any doctor handed to me before walking out of the room, but is unfortunately mostly useless for the cookbook part since I'm also sensitive to other things that aren't technically a FODmap listed there either and is actually a cookbook for low-FODmap, not FODmap free, but did eventually lead to me understanding that certain "safe foods" aren't that safe. The doctor's 1 page version said that bananas are "safe" but I had nothing but trouble eating bananas and it actually seemed to make things way worse, while this book specifies that it's basically only a small portion of an unripe banana that would be considered safe for anyone sensitive to it! So it may be useful to some at least for the first part of the book since no doctor ever explained any of that to me in 21 years. But nothing does away with the mysterious odor issue. Since antibiotics made things better but not cured and probiotics WAY more extreme in my case, I'd assume there's something in that, but no one I go to for help knows what. I basically started taking Imodium about 3 times a day, usually right after I've eaten anything instead of waiting until the trouble starts hours later because by that time it's too late to slow anything down if taken as directed and I'll still end up going 5 times a day the next day, but none of that helps with the odor thing either. I can only vouch that it is a thing, even if doctors seem to not take it seriously where I live and don't know what to do, and even going to counselors is basically useless since everyone is currently kind of crazy and wants to believe that everyone is trying to find ways to live off the tax payers money even if they come in to ask for ideas or help with a type of employment to avoid issues like what I've experienced! Everything I do to try to get help makes me feel worse because of how stupid everything is. I have tried and been determined for 21 years, especially the first 7 years of it. I'd showed up to work whether people had an issue with me or not and fought through things, even at times being sent or permanently moved to another part of the building to distance me as much as possible from other people, until someone starts yelling or getting in my face or making life difficult enough to where it's obviously they want you gone or start making up fake reasons to try to drive you away or get you fired if you don't quit. It's been extremely frustrating and depressing and has ruined my life. I have no friends and am currently mostly unemployed. I've been to more doctors than I can remember or count off hand. Just reading what some others have mentioned on here has confirmed exactly what I have dealt with, down to specific details, and yet there's no actual solution. Even what Grayg said about there seeming to be an odor all day once you go to the restroom no matter how well you clean or whatever. Sort of like if you get gasoline on your hand and can't quite wash it off and can still smell it for hours! No IBS book or doctor mentions things like that, but it is true in my case as well! I don't know if this is any help to anyone, especially since I suggest no answers since I know things may be different for different people, but I can most definitely confirm that you're probably not "crazy" and understand the damage that this causes long term and that it's serious just for that since it can and does affect relationships, employment opportunities and that most other people will not understand and don't take it seriously, unfortunately, wanting to believe that you surely are doing something wrong to cause it or that there's something you can surely do to make it better or something. So far, that's not been true in my case. Sorry for the long post. Report
May 25, 20251 yr comment_100834 I completely understand how isolating this condition can be — it’s had a huge impact on my social life too. All I want is to live a normal life again. I’ve done just about every test endoscopy, colonoscopy, stool tests, and breath tests — and everything keeps coming back normal. I do think it’s better to get SIBO test — both hydrogen and methane breath tests just to rule that out. Unfortunately, most doctors I’ve seen haven’t taken it seriously. I’ve been checking online forums and even using ChatGPT to try and piece things together. Recently, I came across a couple of posts which said they were cured, and that gave me some hope. I tried to read more about flatus (gas) incontinence where gas passes involuntarily. It might be related to a weakness in the anal sphincters that isn’t able to hold back gas properly. I’m currently seeing a new doctor who prescribed a 20-day course of medication, after which I’ll be doing anorectal manometry. If the results show a weakened sphincter, the next step would be biofeedback therapy. I’ve also started pelvic floor exercises, and I read that anal bulking injections may help seal in the gas. If I find something that actually helps, I’ll definitely come back and update this thread. Report

Am I the Only one with the poop Odor I Feel so ALONE !!! HELP ME PLEASE !!!!!!!! PLEASE READ EVERYONE - this may help you as it is helping me significantly It is important to remember that this problem is fixable despite the lack of studies on IBS and it requires you knowing what to do. First off, if you are not using generative AI like Chatgpt, especially when you have social anxiety, I HIGHLY recommend as a place to vent out your IBS problems as there's no need to go out and embarrassing yourself with the odor. Additionally, Chatgpt uses all its knowledge gathered from global data and information to give you REAL and useful advises specifically personalised to you. It's your job to communicate effectively to the AI in order for the best response. I am experiencing IBS and it became especially worse 6 months ago when it coupled with a traumatic bodily experience so it rewired my entire nervous system and eventully leading to a constant rectum odor problem. I MAY have a SOLUTION to this problem as i've done a lot of research and practice for the past few months and it has shown to be effective. If you experience flare-ups (odor) when in social settings and/or have sticky leaky residue around the rectum when you wake up, eat, etc, then this work for you. (Note that this requires consistency, patience, and most importantly hope for the next few months if you do try this method). If you have anything beyond IBS, a rewired nervous system (odor flare up when in social settings), and/or have a tight pelvic floor system, then it may not work. My understanding of why the odor occurs: It is likely the gut lining in your gut causing the odor. It is what produces mucus to help push the stool more easier. So when it overproduces, it leaks down to the rectum causing an odor unintentionally. Additionally, if you have a tight pelvic floor along with this issue, it is worse because it is much harder to push the stool out naturally so you become constipated which therefore stool sits and ferments causing a stronger odor. S My Routine: 1) The first thing I do is wake up and I drink a full glass of warm lemon or lime water to activate the gut and prepare a morning bowel movement. If you manage to have your first bowel release in the morning, that is best before moving on to the next step being the supplement usage. 2) Probiotics and L Glutamine- The probiotics you get depends on your IBS situation (constipation or diarrhea) so do research. I take my first probiotic with 64billion along with L glutamine. L glutamine (5g or 1 teaspoon in a half-glass of water) will repair and restore your gut lining which is likely the culprit for the Odor. The odor Probiotics help balance gut flora and I use it twice a day (morning and night). I often have it on an empty stomach 30 minutes before eating breakfast/first meal. 3) I eat my breakfast - consider eating low-fodmap food (research if unsure) to avoid flare-ups 4) You'll go on about your day, making sure your eating routine is consistent and timed predictably for the gut to learn its natural rhythm. 5) (OPTIONAL) if you have fragmented pieces of stool, then consider taking psyllium husk as it will bulk up stool and be easier for THE NEXT DAY when you release your bowel movement. You should start with half a teaspoon of psyllium in a WARM full glass of water during lunch time (around 12-3pm) 6) If you have a tight pelvic floor (feeling like your butt is clenched constantly) then do reverse kegel exercises for 5 minutes in the morning or 30 minutes after your first meal and one at night. 7) When it is night, you'll have your probiotics, L glutamine and also magnesium citrate (that's what I use but there are other types of magnesium so do research). If still constipated or still have sitting stool late at night, consider Magnesium citrate so it makes the urge for the next day more stronger and it aborbs water into the gut to make the stool less dry and harder to push. Additional info: That's pretty much what I take DAILY. You'll notice incredibly better after a couple weeks but it entirely depends on your severity. I've been on it for the past 3 months, you may get some major relapse especially if you are inconsistent but if you keep pushing, the gut improves overtime regardless of the relapse. I've had 2 major relapse but it only lasted about 1-2 weeks but i kept persisting and now I'm okay now. One last thing, update your daily life to CHATGPT as it will help you manage your IBS. Once Chatgpt says you have reached the late-stabilisation phase, it will tell you what and how to taper off the supplements so your gut learns to be independent. Once you get rid of IBS, so will the odor but you must be hopeful and consistent if you plan to try my method. Good luck. I'm in the transition from late recovery phase to now early stabilisation, i hope this gives you motivation and help. I understand its an emotional rollercoaster and silent struggle but none of this would be without Chatgpt and countless of research. If you found this helpful, please reply and let me know how you went or going so far! Wish you all a safe and prosperous journey! Report

Though i'm IBS C (constipation), it works for IBS D (diarrhea) Just remove magnesium from the routine. Both IBS have the same common issue being pelvic floor, dietry, gut microbiome imbalance, nervous system problems. I highly suggest using L glutamine especially for IBS D, it will seal the gut lining and reduce permeability! Report

No IBS book or doctor mentions things like that, but it is true in my case as well!I don't know if this is any help to anyone, especially since I suggest no answers since I know things may be different for different people, but I can most definitely confirm that you're probably not "crazy" and understand the damage that this causes long term and that it's serious just for that since it can and does affect relationships, employment opportunities and that most other people will not understand and don't take it seriously, unfortunately, wanting to believe that you surely are doing something wrong to cause it or that there's something you can surely do to make it better or something. So far, that's not been true in my case. Sorry for the long post. I dont know if you suffer with this or indeed anyone else, but with this ibs i also seem to suffer what i can only think is Leaky Gut, im assuming that because a lot of the time despite being thoroughly showered and clean as my day progresses i always seem to feel damp, almost like a sweaty anus, which i think makes the odor issue 100x worse. im only assuming this because thats what im experiencing daily now and the odor is back and is daily, i find i have to wash my sofa throw more regular than normal and indeed bedding because after a day or two theres a nasty odor lingering in the room, which requires lots of open windows, cleaning etc, indeed it massively complicates what was unbearable already, so the trick of going to the toilet at night and being odor free the next day is no longer working.Talking to doctors is hard because leaky gut is also a medical issue they dont want to accept exists, and its all becoming way to much aggro and hassle for me.Because of everything i refuse to be in any form of relationship, i choose to live alone and socially distance myself frim people, after recovering from months of therapy earlier in the year i once again find myself spiralling, only this time ive no fight left, im just ready to give up and yes the dark thoughts are back but sometimes i think at least i wouldnt be having to live miserably anymore. As a last ditch attempt im loading up on pre and probiotics once again and also added in there just in case it is leaky gut is Vit D and L-Glutamine supplements daily, Glutamine is a wonderful supplement for gut issues if anyone hasnt tried it yet, but this is my last stand so to speak, if it doesnt work then i dont think theres anything left to try. Plenty of sleep, less stress. For me right now diet makes no difference, no matter what food i eat, good or bad its the same result, i spent a whole month eating plant based food, salads and bio yoghurts with blueberry, Sauerkraut, anything fermented, didnt make 1 little ounce of a difference so i tend not to worry too much about what i eat now. It's your job to communicate effectively to the AI in order for the best response.I am experiencing IBS and it became especially worse 6 months ago when it coupled with a traumatic bodily experience so it rewired my entire nervous system and eventully leading to a constant rectum odor problem. My understanding of why the odor occurs:It is likely the gut lining in your gut causing the odor. SMy Routine:1) The first thing I do is wake up and I drink a full glass of warm lemon or lime water to activate the gut and prepare a morning bowel movement. If you manage to have your first bowel release in the morning, that is best before moving on to the next step being the supplement usage.2) Probiotics and L Glutamine- The probiotics you get depends on your IBS situation (constipation or diarrhea) so do research. I often have it on an empty stomach 30 minutes before eating breakfast/first meal.3) I eat my breakfast - consider eating low-fodmap food (research if unsure) to avoid flare-ups 4) You'll go on about your day, making sure your eating routine is consistent and timed predictably for the gut to learn its natural rhythm.5) (OPTIONAL) if you have fragmented pieces of stool, then consider taking psyllium husk as it will bulk up stool and be easier for THE NEXT DAY when you release your bowel movement. You should start with half a teaspoon of psyllium in a WARM full glass of water during lunch time (around 12-3pm)6) If you have a tight pelvic floor (feeling like your butt is clenched constantly) then do reverse kegel exercises for 5 minutes in the morning or 30 minutes after your first meal and one at night.7) When it is night, you'll have your probiotics, L glutamine and also magnesium citrate (that's what I use but there are other types of magnesium so do research). If still constipated or still have sitting stool late at night, consider Magnesium citrate so it makes the urge for the next day more stronger and it aborbs water into the gut to make the stool less dry and harder to push.Additional info:That's pretty much what I take DAILY. Such a harsh reality that makes me realise that even when people know the answer to their personal problem, theres other obstacles holding them down. I can only imagine how much different my life would have been if I wasn’t living under my parents roof and having a remote work opportunity. For context, I’m living in Australia. I’m taking quality supplements (L-glutamine and probiotics), hence why every month is a noticeable improvement. The probiotics I use is lifespecs probiotics with 64b CFU and eagle clinical gi repair 210g glutamine. yes, it’s expensive, But I’d be happier knowing that people at least have a possible answer to a lifelong problem.I’m 21, I have a bright future ahead and I don’t want this specific niche problem being the weight that drags me down from not being able to do the things I need and want to do. My motto in life is “if you truly want something, you’d find a way to get it”. In other words, no problem should be greater than your desire to attain/fix something. What im getting here is that having a reason strong enough to persist will give you the winning edge in pushing through and eventually overcoming issues like IBS.But on the flip side, if everything I said made sense, then I can assure you that IBS IS NOT permanent and can fixed.I’d like to add one note to when you said “pre/probiotics” interchangeably. My only advice is not using/buying prebiotics. You need probiotics first before even considering prebiotics. Think of probiotics as the seed to gut flora and prebiotics as you watering the seed. So without the main drive to fixing gut issue, providing prebiotics won’t be effective. Even I’m not up to the prebiotic stage yet. Here’s my ibs journey as of now in October (6 months since I last posted):Since the last time I posted (which was in April), my gut is probably 90-95% stabilised and healed. This final stretch is all about consistent bowel, food, and supplement routine. The issue I face now is no longer odor (though I do occasionally get leakage), but rather multiple bowel movements throughout the day. It’s no longer becoming a gut issue but rather a neuromuscular conditioning. I’m retraining my body to know how to completely release one bowel movement a day. The incomplete Bowels are what’s causing this slight leakage for me, so once my body finally knows how to release in one go, I’ll be able to test social settings again. I believe it’ll take me another month, but I’ve learnt patience is key to everything.Once I consolidate into one bowel a day, I’d need to maintain the routine for two weeks to confirm that my body has learnt to push bowel movement once a day. After that, is when I can safely taper off supplements one by one slowly.overall, I’d argue my gut health is much better than before I had severe ibs + odor. Along with my healing, my skin issues (eczema) has become nearly nonexistent all thanks to the supplements I use. I’ll update my journey by the end of this year because by then, I think I’ll be completely ibs-free. I’ll still gladly help others out and continuing engaging after all is done if others have questions.Hope my story/update helps. Good luck everyone reading this Report

Good luck everyone reading thisHello again, thanks for the post.I just wanted to clarify when i mentioned pre-biotics i didnt mean via supplements i meant mainly by changing what i eat, this week esp i will be starting a diet that has more beneficial greens in it plus i will continue to eat things like berries and green bananas.Vit A, D and prebiotics are always more beneficial in eating the food that contains them.Im glad everything is going really good for you, i have struggled but then im a lot older, 55, and with that i also have a illness that absolutely makes things worse, Graves Disease, it affects the body in so many ways and its extremely hard to cope with it, because of that sometimes eating healthy to benefit the gut has a very negative affect on weight because of graveshopfully things will improve soon, take care. November 5, 2025Nov 5 comment_104769 Morning everyone hope things are going ok for you all.Id like to ask a question???, one thing ive noticed over the years is its not just about the odor that may come from the body but i also found that over time even jeans, trousers, especially cotton ones, begin to smell, sofa throw begins to smell etc etc, obviously this is to do with the odors coming from behind, especially sitting on things like the seat of your pants, sofa throw etc etc, whether this is to do with the actual ibs, leaky gut or all of it im not sure, but smells do get trapped in fabrics.Over the years ive probably spent a UK fortune on Laundry products trying to deal with it, but we are very limited to what is on our shop shelves, usual a very basic bio or non bio, Aerial, Persil etc etc, and although it washes clothes the odours have not been removed properly because once wearing they start to smell again, thats obviously down to insufficient cleaning in the wash.Just to point out i do suffer from sensitive skin and cant really use bio products that have enzymes in, heres what i understand - Hospital grade Enzymatic detergents and odor removers are probably the key hereEnzymes are important to breakdown and kill any bacteria causing smells etcits very expensiveNot much choice in shops so have to buy online.Ok so, WHAT TO BUY - Heres where all you come in PLEASE can people respond, if i can combat this ill be happier than i am right now, Have any of you or do any of you experience similar issues?, i just want to say im not a dirty person, i shower daily and im always clean, so the problems we all experience is a real blow to self confidence as most of you will have felt that, but have any of you found a special product etc that really works for you in the shops or online, i read a lot that TIDE is highly rated however that cant be found in UK shops at all, I can use BIO productd but i have to wash twice, first wash in BIO, then wash again in Nn Bio with a softener otherwise i itch and break outSo if anyone and @Someone have found a product that works please clue me up, what is it and how do you launder it, hot wash cold wash etc. Thanks all. January 4Jan 4 comment_106063 Hi, just an update as I am nearing true stability (though I was expecting it be completely with weeks ago), one suggestion for those with IBS-C and might work with IBS-D (do your due diligence), try using psyllium husk a few hours before your dinner everyday. Take them It will absorb water into the gut to make the inconsistent stools into well-formed logs making your bowel movements more cleaner and efficient, which may help diminish the odor issue that we all have. How to use: Start with 1/2 teaspoon of it into a full warm glass of water and stirred before drinking. Drink immediately after stirring or the husk will clump up. Adjust more or less to however severe your case is.Side note: At first, you may experience loose stools, bloating, and other negative side effects. This may go on for about a week or two. That's completely fine. If it goes on for longer, consider taking less. After a while, you should notice more easier bowel movements, well-formed logs, less bowel movements, and you'll feel like you've emptied more.If you do try it, let me know how it goes.Best wishes! And thank you for providing us a solution but more importantly hope. Here is my story. In freshman year of high school I discovered one day at school I had urinary incontinence. This was the single most humiliating and soul crushing experiences I've ever had in my life. I started becoming emotionally detached and super self-conscious. Before this, I was a passionate straight A student but now I couldn't care less about school or about anything really. I started wearing pads and frequently checking for visible leaks. I felt super alone and depressed. I believed something was wrong with me.In sophomore year, I developed digestive issues, namely excessive flatulence. I became anxious around going to school (bc odor). I also became further emotionally detached and stopped eating (peak depression) which exacerbated these issues. I tried gas-x, liquid chlorophyl, and internal charcoal, which didn't help much. Later I got diagnosed with constipation and did a bowel clean out, then I started pelvic floor therapy. But digestive issues continued and I missed too many appts so I got discharged as a patient (understandably). I also discovered gut hypnotherapy which helped reduce my morning anxieties around going to school and provided me hope, but it was only temporary because school felt unbearable. Oh also implemented low-FODMAP diet, made me way more stressed and fearful about food (which I was already not eating much). Low-FODMAP just felt impossible and thus, I stopped.Skipping some traumatic experiences, as of now, a sixteen year old junior with IBS, urinary incontinence, belonging issues, depression and anxiety, but also HOPE, I will challenge myself with a consistent routine catered towards IBS improvement. :DMy Routine:Morning: warm soy milk & 10 min br & align probiotic5 pm: anti-anxiety meds10 pm: half teaspoon of psyllium fiber & 2 min deep belly breathing to relax pelvic floorFor temporary odor management I recommend using wipes after using the br. Good luck everyone!welcome to the community, you are not alone! this forum is a safe space to be heard and understood as its such a niche issue not many speak up about.if you have clear symptoms of gut flora imbalance, probiotics should be your #1 priority. for me, the solution i have mentioned in this forum has worked very very well. take it with a grain of salt, but i can assure you that whatever issue, similar or different in variance, it is fixable.after a year since i’ve started this ibs journey, my gut has now stabilised, no more leakage, no more bloating, no longer have deep fear, etc. i’m in the final stretch now, which is being comfortable to go out without having fear or anxiety. purely a psychological and nervous system focus now rather than gut.i hope this reaches out to a lot of people because apparently those that do eventually fix their ibs odor issue don’t typically help out others.keep having hope, it’s what got me through all this!
