Is the Garbage an appropriate place for Motegrity? Looking for tips and tricks....

I started taking Motegrity 1mg at night at least five hours after eating and it just doesn't work. Tons of side effects though. I have tried this a decade ago and had side effects but at least it worked a little. Would it work better in the morning? I have a feeling 2mg is what I need but I do understand the conservative approach. I guess there isn't any point if I just feel like I took something funny, but not going to the bathroom.

I did  what my doctor calls a "Holiday" first. In other words, I did not go straight from Zelnorm to Motegrity because I remember when I first took it I was told they both build up in your system the same way and you have to take someting else for a few weeks to have it work again. There is nothing like feeling like something is going to work and it just doesn't.

Any advice is much appreciated!

I have heard from gastroenterologists saying that nothing seems to work the same as Zelnorm. Although Motegrity is a similar compound, you are probably going to have to play with it for a while until you find the right dosage at the right time. So little info on how people are coping with Motegrity that I don't have any other advice to offer.

Please keep us posted how you are doing.

Thanks for letting me know. I decided to take it in the morning and increase to 1 1/2 mg. I know that I should not change two things but it is crazy how this can cause so many side effects and not work. It worked for me a little when I took 1mg Resolor about 10 years ago. Is this made by the same company?

It's really hard to know whether Resolor/Resotran is manufactured in the same facility as Motegrity. They are marketed by different pharmaceuticals.

You'd really think that all 5-HT4 medications were a like so I find this very fascinating.
