How long have you been passing 4 to 5 stools? Have you ever had stool tests performed to rule out an infection as a cause for your symptoms? How about a fecal calprotectin stool test to rule out IBD?

Some people describe fatigue whether they have D or C. It's not a symptom that is considered in the diagnosis. Passing 4-5 stools with urgency can certainly be exhausting.

I understand. Have you spoken to your doctor about the fatigue? 2 years is a long time to live like this. Has any recent bloodwork been done?

Mebeverine can also make you feel tired. Have you considered that you might not be getting a proper night's sleep? That can give you fatigue during the day.

I'm sorry that you have to feel this way. As I said, fatigue isn't a symptom of IBS; however, it certainly can be a chronic problem for some. It's a feature of IBD as well as many other conditions. I can only suggest that you continue to work with your doctor to look for other causes than IBS. Mebeverine is for managing abdominal pain and not fatigue.

Please keep us posted.
