Jeffrey Roberts
Share your IBS story with me! In preparation for World IBS Day on April 19th we are asking Patients to share their stories with IBS in a video. I would be happy to record this in a call with you so all you have to do is be available for a 15 minute video call. Here are the questions that I would like answered: Of all the IBS treatments you have tried, what has been the most successful? In your opinion, how can Doctors, Nurse-practioners, Dietitians, Psychologists, or Social Workers be the most helpful in IBS care? If you could provide words of wisdom/advice to a person newly diagnosed with IBS, what would that be? A collection of videos from patients will be selected to be part of an IBS Experience awareness campaign for IBS on World IBS Day 2023. If this is something that you would like to do, please reply here or email me at [email protected] and we'll find a time to meet. You can always record your own and upload it here: worldibsday.org/ibschat

The process repeats itself. I have had IBS for 22 years. Allergist can find out what food you are allergic to. Therapist a must. Gastroenterologist -this doctor needs to be researched. Need a gastro who has a lot of IBS experience and more than one idea. Be proactive about how you feel and what you do about it. Listen to your gut literally and figuratively. There’s good and there is very very bad until you start making courageous changes like diet (try FODMAP diet tremendous help) as if you were a diabetic. That important! Never give up. You came to a good place this support group.
