I have been getting colonics for a number of years. I’ve had closed but I’m now using the open system. Not all doctors agree with it. But it makes me feel so good. Doesn’t take away my IBS-c but it gives me some relief. Research it if you like. Good luck.
Regina S.
Hi, I have never heard of that.. its called the open system?
LHill
I was recently in the hospital for another issue and was given lactulose. Along with my daily metamucil and miralax, I take between 1-2 tablespoons daily. It is the only thing that consistently works. My GI prescribed Amitiza but I am not having good results with it- have asked her if I could switch to Linzess. I also take VSL-3, a probiotic. Was taking Align which is more for bloating than IBS specific symptoms.

I do open colonics. It’s more private and less invasive.

I started because I just was having a terrible time going but I had not started FODMAP diet yet and I didn’t know I was allergic to some foods. Some people go once a year some every six months some once a month. Cleans it out but you don’t need to do it a lot because it can take out good bacteria too. Regina S.
HI Renee, Definately start the FODMAP, I cut out 2 things that I thought was causing me problems and knock on wood, the stomack issue has not come back. Battling the issue with the bowel movements and taking a few things although I really wish I didnt have to take anything. Nothing is easy with this problem. Thanks!
