carbonated beverages

I am new to this group and have been experiencing symptoms for about 2 month which I know is not that long... I have had blood work and a colonoscopy with biopsy that were all clear. My symptoms seem to fluctuate between diarrhea and constipation.  I don't drink alcohol or caffeine and I eat a pretty healthy diet. One thing I have noticed is that my symptoms do seem to get worse when I drink carbonated beverages. Last night, after a few days of pretty normal bowel movements, I had a highly carbonated drink and pretty much as soon as I started drinking it I could feel my guts start churning - had diarrhea before I even finished the drink. Have any of you experienced this kind of immediate symptom response to a trigger food?

Yes m’am. It’s the only way I know what foods cause too much gas for my IBS-c. And of course the foods that cause me gas are some of my favorite foods. Took me a couple of years to finally ween myself off foods my digestion cannot handle.
