Jeffrey Roberts
On September 21st our Tuesday Night IBS webinar will dig deep into real-life IBS-C patient cases with evidence-based strategies to diagnose patients with IBS-C. We will speak about shared decision-making to help patients regain control of their lives and improve patient and provider satisfaction. One of the cases we will be covering: A 48-year-old female high school principal visits a gastroenterologist seeking advice regarding persistent problems with abdominal pain, bloating, and constipation. The symptoms have been ongoing for over 10 years but have been more bothersome to her over the past two years. She reports feeling unwell most days but experiences sharp, crampy pain two or three times per week. The pain can last for minutes up to an hour and often culminates in the feeling that she needs to move her bowels. The pain is not related to eating. When she does have a bowel movement, she experiences some mild relief from her abdominal pain. Learn how the experts and an IBS-C patient might manage this. We will be featuring Christina Hanson, FNP-C, Kimberly Kearns, APRN, ANP-BC, and Suzanne, a patient with IBS-C. This independent medical educational webinar is supported by Ardelyx.
