TENEMUS

Recommended Posts

Hello.   After years of chronic constipation and the need to use suppositories, I am now suffering from renesmus - what an awful thing this is.  I so pity otrher sufferers.  This is a long shot but does anyone know an apprptiate consultant, presumably a gastro specialist, in the Surrey/West Sussex area?

Any general advice very welcome.

Gus.

Tenesmus is rather miserable condition. I'm sorry you are dealing with it. It is very common for people with ulcerative colitis so any GI that has IBD patients will know how to menage it. For me, I used steroid enemas or foam and/or mesalamine suppositories.

Unfortunately, I don't have a GI specialist to recommend in your area.
