Developed by Dr Simone Peters, Monash University, in collaboration with health tech company Mindset Health, the app, Nerva, targets the miscommunication between the gut and the brain, which is at the heart of many IBS symptoms. It uses a technique called Gut-directed hypnotherapy (GHD) to calm visceral hypersensitivity, hypervigilance and gut motility (or digestion). December 30, 20241 yr comment_97885 I actually stumbled onto that today... it looks to be about $200/yr with a 7 day trial. I don't really trust Facebook comments nor product reviews on product websites as they can be "fluffed", but a lot of people are raving about the success. Maybe after the first of the year, I'll give it a shot. Report
January 5, 20251 yr comment_98028 There is research efficacy for using gut directed hypnotherapy to manage IBS. In the US Regulora was approved by the FDA for patients. It is no longer marketed in the US, but is still available in Canada. Report
