Chinese Herbal Medicine

Featured Replies

Hello everyone. I just joined this community and it is good to know I am not alone. I have had IBS-D on and off for 3 years now. I am trying my best to eat low FODMAP food but every so often I slip up when I don't check the label and then I have a big dilatating flare up that last for days. When I was in China of April this year my Chinese friends got this Chinese remedy for me and it seems to help during a flare up. I wonder if anyone else has tried it. I can order it on Amazon now.

is huo hsiang cheng chi shuei good to treat ibs d?

Huo Xiang Cheng Qi Shui, also known as "Agastache Qi Regulation Decoction," is a traditional Chinese herbal formula. It's often used for digestive issues, including symptoms related to Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), particularly IBS with diarrhea (IBS-D).

The formula typically contains herbs that may help to relieve gastrointestinal discomfort, regulate digestion, and alleviate diarrhea. However, the effectiveness of such herbal remedies can vary from person to person, and it's essential to consult with a healthcare professional, especially if you have a specific medical condition like IBS. They can provide personalized advice and ensure that any treatment is appropriate for your situation.

I am not familiar with any Chinese formulations for IBS.
