Hi all I guess I am reaching out for reassurance. I was diagnosed with stress induced IBS-D years ago. Foddmap sort of worked, I was treated for stomach ulcers and h pylori and I may of got a few days relief or even a few months but it always comes back. The last 10 months it’s come back with a vengence. The painful aching stomach that feels bloated and sensitive and slightly nauseating is so so painful and I can’t get any relief, the diarrhoea is extreme. I am talking running to the toilet and not always making it and when I do it’s extremely extremely runny and watery I don’t feel like eating and can’t leave the house or do much because before I know it I am running to the toilet again . I try to eat and make sure I keep my fluids up but I have no appetite and feel tired from all the toilet runs and worrying about it. I spend lots of money on buying everything and anything that I can get over the counter that says it will help or I hope will help but nothing does my doctors have never suggested any medication or anything to help just tell me to work on reducing stress . I want to keep going to the doctor to demand help but I stop myself because it’s over $100 for the appointment to be told the same old stuff . It’s not fair and I just hope this flare up or a attack will calm down soon as I am day 3 of this horrible symptoms

So sorry to read about your situation. While stress does exacerbate symptoms, it's not usually the cause so don't feel like stress ie: yourself, is causing this.

When you were treated for stomach ulcers and h pylori were you on antibiotics? Has anyone considered testing your stool for C. Difficile?

I was treated for stomach ulcers / h pylori a fairly long time ago, I’d say 6 years ago and yes I was put on an intense antibiotics regime for 2 weeks or more and testing did confirm H pylori. However since then my symptoms have been rare and not very often until recently and they all lead towards IBSD however I did mention to my doctor that yes I feel it’s IBSD symptoms but I have chronic burping all the time and excessive gas. My stomach feels hot on the inside and out. I have to give a urine and stool sample and blood tests for celiac disease. I also have to give stool sample over 3 days to test for blood in stool but my instincts are saying if it’s not my long standing IBS or could be H pylori or something to that affect due to the constant burping and stomach feels full of wind and gas . I’m constantly bloated and in pain and worried all the time it could be something worse than IBS like stomach cancer. This IBS attack ( if that’s what it is) is giving me terrible anxiety and health anxiety . I feel so worried
