In fact, research shows that many people don't tell their healthcare provider how they really feel. If could be because they don't want to disappoint their healthcare provider if they're not feeling as good as they think they should be. It could also be because they feel embarrassed to share details about their symptoms. Many people living with IBS-C don't bring up ongoing symptoms with their doctor - sometimes because they don't realize there may be other treatment options available. Sharing how you're really feeling with your doctor helps you work together to make the best decisions about your care. So, make sure you speak up about your symptoms and ask about your treatment options to make sure you have all the information.
