Linzess

Featured Replies

I started 72 mcg of linzess 3 days ago. I have a soft formed bm then pure water for about a hour. Has anyone taken it at night. Is the morning less rough? I’m concerned of having urgency at work and possibly having an accident. I took ibsrela and it torn me up. Had accidents and had to wear depends. Is there a happy middle?

I'm sorry to read that you are trying to find the happy middle. Have you seen this posting?

I am having trouble opening the message. Can I ask you? I ahve been on 72 mcg of linzess for 6 days. The mornings are a little rough but i can deal with it. Today not so much and i feel “full”. Is this normal as I am adjusting to this med? Do you get a tolerance to it? Thank you

I took it at night by accident (mix up with another med I take at night) one time and I was up all night with diarrhea. I started on 72 mg, but eventually had to go up to 290 mg with daily doses of Miralax. I find with Linzess there is no middle ground, you either take it and tolerate the watery stools or you don't take it and have constipation. I have one day Linzess works well and then the next day it doesn't work that well, this is a consistent pattern for me.
